Massage
Therapy Policies
- Massage sessions
are by appointment only, unless otherwise approved by the
massage therapist or receptionist on duty.
- All appointments
are made in the BYI Massage Center office
or by calling 806-792-4164
or by booking online.
All online appointments will
have to be confirmed by phone before approving the appointment
dates and times.
- Payment must be
made when scheduling appointments.
- All appointments
must be approved by the massage therapist on duty
- Please arrive 15
(10 for returning clients) minutes before your scheduled session
in order to receive a full massage.
- Therapist has
right to cancel any appointment if client is 20 or more minutes
past the massage start time.
- A 24-Hour
cancellation/reschedule notice is required.
- Refunds are not
guaranteed and are subject to a 15% processing fee. Receipt must
be presented upon request of refund.
- Massage punch
cards must be punched on the day and time of appointment and
expires one year after the date of the first appointment.
Other
important information:

Techniques
to be used may include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point,
Reflexology, Joint Range of motion techniques and
stretches etc.

Body
parts to be massaged include the head, face, neck, shoulders,
back, arms, buttocks, hip flexors, legs (front and back),
pectorals, abdominals, ribs, hands and feet.

The
massage therapist will NOT engage in genital massage. No exceptions!
- Standard
draping will be used, meaning only the body part being massaged
will be exposed.
Cancellations
At
BYI Massage we understand that unanticipated events happen
occasionally in everyone's life. Business meetings, project
deadlines, flight delays, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are
just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment.
In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients and out
of consideration for our therapists' time, we have adopted the
following policies:

If you are unable to give us 24
hours advance notice and we are unable to fill your time slot,
you will be charged the full amount of what would have
been your treatment fee. At our discretion this charge will be
either automatically deducted from the outstanding balance of
an existing "value plan" or gift certificate;
otherwise, it must be paid in full prior to your next
treatment.
No-shows
Anyone
who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment
for whatever reason will be considered a "no-show". They
will be charged for their "missed" appointment and future
service will be denied until payment is made.
Any
one who is more than thirty minutes late for their appointment will
be treated as a No-Show and charges will apply.
Arriving late
If
you are not present for your scheduled session during the first 15
minutes (unless having telephoned us you might be late), it will be
construed by us that you are a "no-show", and that time
slot will automatically become available for someone else. Depending
upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if
there is enough time remaining to start a treatment...and regardless
of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be
responsible for the "full" session.
Out of respect and consideration
to your therapist and other customers, please plan
accordingly and be on time.
